How should I prepare my pet for their procedure?

Before the day of your pet's procedure, our veterinary team will go through everything you can expect during their surgery. We'll also share any preparations you'll need to make prior to bringing them in. For example, your pet might need to fast but they can still drink water. Ensuring your pet is hydrated and at ease before their procedure helps improve their comfort level. We do our best to make your pet as comfortable as possible, recognizing some pain is a normal part of the surgical process. Pain management is a component of your pet's procedure, with a thorough plan of medication we'll use during and after to promote healing and ease discomfort. We also perform a physical exam and bloodwork to ensure your pet is fit for the procedure, limiting potential risks or complications.

What types of surgeries do you perform?

Each person on our surgical team has a unique role to ensure the success of your pet's procedure. For example, our registered veterinary technicians are responsible for monitoring your pet and checking their vitals. Thanks in part to their diligence, we're able to act quickly if there are any sudden changes in your pet's response to surgery. Our veterinarians perform the surgery, with the support of any other necessary staff. Some procedures we perform include:

  • Laparoscopic surgery
  • Spay/neuter
  • Mass removal
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Dental extractions
  • Emergency procedures
